Why RR exists
The decision wasn't to start an accountancy practice. It was to build a different kind.
Iftikhar Rashid founded RR Accountants in 2010 with a specialist focus on property and landlord tax. Over the next decade, the firm grew — and ran into the same problem every quality firm runs into: the industry model is built for volume.
Volume firms run a pool of account managers, rotate them every 6 months, file returns late, miss planning windows, and discover their clients' tax bills the same day HMRC does. We watched landlords lose £15,000 a year to Section 24 because no one had raised it. Directors miss pension carry-forward windows. Contractors sign contracts inside IR35 unwittingly.
The decision was to build the opposite. Fewer clients. Named accountant. Published service standards in writing. A named proprietary system that turns the promise into something we can prove every month.

We're not for everyone — and that's the point.
We serve five verticals with equal depth: limited company directors, contractors, landlords, growing businesses, and established SMEs. Most of our clients are doing between £200k and £5m in turnover.
We don't serve price-shoppers, grey-area scheme seekers, chronic late record-senders, or 'just file it' clients. Every prospect goes through a 20-minute discovery call so we can confirm fit before we proceed. The call is the filter — not a formality.
